What’s the difference between leasing and buying IPv4 addresses?
Buying is a permanent ARIN or RIPE transfer of ownership. Leasing gives you the right to announce and use a block for a set term — month-to-month, 6 months, or 12 months — without the upfront capital cost of a purchase. Most of our clients lease because it’s faster to set up and easier to scale up or down.
Do I need my own ASN to lease from you?
No. If you already have an ASN, we’ll issue an LOA so you can announce the block yourself. If you don’t, check the box on the quote form and we’ll arrange the announcement on your behalf.
How fast can I actually get IP space?
Most leases go from signed agreement to a working LOA plus ROA and IRR route objects within one business day. There’s no marketplace queue to wait on.
Is the IP space clean?
We hold our space under our own ARIN (Org ID ML-1450) and RIPE (mobosoft-MNT) allocations — both independently checkable on public Whois. We’re happy to walk through reputation history for a specific block before you commit.
Can I use leased IPv4 for BYOIP on AWS, GCP, or Azure?
Yes. We can support the RPKI/ROA side of the setup so your cloud provider accepts the announcement. Most providers require a /24 minimum for BYOIP — check your provider’s specific requirement before you request a block size.
What block sizes and terms do you offer?
/24, /23, and /22 are available directly through our quote form, on month-to-month, 6-month, or 12-month terms. Need a /21 or larger, or a custom term? Request a quote and mention it — we’ll follow up directly.
What happens when my lease term ends?
Reach out before your term ends and we’ll work out whichever fits — renewing, extending, or winding the block down. We’ll always give you advance notice rather than cutting announcement off without warning.
Do you require RPKI on leased space?
We recommend it and can set up ROA/IRR objects as part of our Managed IP & Network Services, but it isn’t a hard requirement to lease from us. More networks are moving to RPKI-based route validation, so it’s worth having regardless.
